About DIY Declassified

I’m a passionate DIY enthusiast and video creator, specializing in custom home projects ranging from kitchen backsplashes to full deck builds. My woodworking journey started back in high school when I realized that making sawdust was oddly therapeutic—and yes, I still enjoy the hobby today. What started as an excuse to make a mess in the garage and upset my wife has now turned into a creative outlet where I share my skills, failures (oh yes, there are those too), and ideas with others.

After high school I swapped the hammer for a uniform and focused heavily on my military career. But in 2020, my wife and I bought a new home with a garage, and suddenly, I was back in the game. Cue the COVID lockdowns, where I spent days downing coffee, binge-watching YouTube, and diving into DIY blogs. With so many ideas floating around, I figured, "If I’m already doing these projects, why not hit record and see what happens?" Enter DIY Declassified—born from a love of building things and the hope that I wouldn’t shoot a nail through my hand on camera.

I started small, slowly acquiring tools, and working on projects around the house. As my tool collection—and confidence—grew, I took on more complex builds. Now, I’m here to share that journey with you because if I can do it, you absolutly can. My goal? To inspire you to tackle those projects you’ve been avoiding, experiment with your ideas, and gain a little self-confidence along the way. Trust me, whether you’re a beginner or seasoned pro, there’s always something new to learn—and a good chance to laugh at yourself in the process.

If you’re looking to learn a new skill, transform your home, or just want to watch someone else make mistakes so you don’t have to, stick around! Follow me on Facebook and Instagram, or check out my latest projects on YouTube.
